BEDROOMS: All bedrooms have private en-suite facilities, digital TV, hairdryers and complimentary tea & coffee making with biscuits. We will make every effort to ensure you get to stay in the room you have chosen. If this is not possible, you will be offered a room of an equivalent standard.
CHECK IN/OUT: Our check-in operates 2pm to 10.30pm, if you are able to indicate your likely arrival time on booking it is helpful but not essential. If you expect to arrive towards to end of our check-in period, please call the Hotel on 01803 294708. Check-out is 10.30am. Early check-ins and Late check-outs may be available, please contact us, a charge will apply.
PARKING: Please note, we have 1 parking space for each room, if you are bringing more than 1 car per room booked, or a larger vehicle, please call the Hotel.
CHILDREN: In order to maintain a calm and relaxing ambience in the hotel, we do not cater for children under the age of 12 years except in very specific circumstances and by strictly only by prior arrangement. If you arrive with children under this age without prior agreement, we will not be able accommodate them (although adult members of the party will of course be accommodated). The full charge for the stay will still be due.
PETS: We are unable to accept pets of any type. We welcome registered assistance / guide dogs. Please advise us at the time of booking if you are likely to be accompanied by a registered assistance / guide dog to ensure we can allocate an appropriate room and make appropriate arrangements for your assistant, and arrange enhanced allergen cleaning of the room following your stay.
LICENSED BAR: Local beers and lagers, spirits, liqueurs and soft drinks, and a selection of quality wines and champagne including local wine are available in the relaxing bar lounge which is open to residents and their guests only throughout the day.
CONSUMPTION OF YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINK ON THE PREMISES: We ask that guests do not consume hot food (such as takeaways) in their rooms due to the risk of damage and odours spreading to soft furnishings and other rooms. We are happy to provide a table in the dining room with heated plates for £2.50 per table. As a licenced premises, guests may not consume their own alcohol in public areas. If you would like ice and glasses for your own alcohol consumed in your room we are able to provide these for £2.50.
SMOKING: Taking into consideration the comfort of all of our guests and current legislation, a NO-SMOKING policy has been adopted throughout the Hotel. If smoking does occur within the property, the party will be required to immediately vacate the property without refund and a charge will be made against the room occupant and / or booker for the cost of deep cleaning and any nights a room must be left vacant to allow cleaning and airing to take place, plus any costs associated finding alternative accommodation for other guests due to use the room. Please note, this could amount to a substantial sum, and we have a lovely Terrace available where you are welcome to smoke.
PAYMENT: Payment is due on arrival. Debit cards and Cash are accepted and are free. Most major credit cards are accepted and will carry a 1.5% charge. We do not accept American Express or Diners Club. Prices include VAT at the current rate. Prices quoted are for bookings made directly with the hotel. Bookings made via third parties may incur commission or other charges.
SECURING YOUR BOOKING: Although most bookings do not require a deposit, card details are required as part of the booking process, although this card does not have to be used when paying on arrival. The purpose of taking card details at time of booking is to verify the authenticity of the booking and provide a payment source in the event of cancellation or no show for any fees due. In event of a charge becoming due, although we will attempt to contact you to offer a choice of payment methods, in providing credit or debit card details with your booking, you authorise the charging of these fees in accordance with our cancellation policy (below).
It is an unfortunate aspect of the Hospitality industry that on occasion false card details are provided with bookings. Validity checks may be carried out on the card details provided. In event of initial cards details proving invalid, we reserve the right to require full payment immediately using a secure payment method. If we fail to receive payment, we reserve the right to reject the booking at any point (charges may still apply if the Hotel does not fully recover the value of the original booking).
CANCELLATIONS / PART-CANCELLATIONS: We recommend you have Travel Insurance for your stay as cancellations or changes to your booking will normally incur fees. Should you need to cancel, part-cancel, or alter your booking, please inform the hotel immediately. Provided that notice is received more than 4 days (per room booked, e.g. a booking for 2 rooms would require 2 x 4 days = more than 8 days notice) before your scheduled arrival date – then a £25 admin fee will apply per room. If notice of change or cancellation is received after this time, full payment will be due but may be partially refunded if the room/s is re-let for the full period, less an admin fee of £25.00. If, after arrival, you need to shorten your visit, you will remain liable to a charge equal to the total cost of the booking but if you booked direct with us, this may be partially refunded should we be able to re-let the room/s. If you fail to arrive without giving notice you will be liable for the full cost of the reservation made. Although we will attempt to contact you to offer a choice of payment methods, in providing credit or debit card details with your booking, you authorise the charging of these fees in accordance with our cancellation policy, if we are unable to contact you, or no acceptable alternate payment method is advised.
PROBLEMS DURING YOUR STAY: If anything interferes with your enjoyment of your stay, please let us know at the earliest opportunity (we are on site 24 hours a day) so we have the opportunity to try and resolve it.
DAMAGE: Damage may need to be paid for depending on cause. Please let us know as soon as possible to allow us to mitigate the damage.
CONDUCT: The hotel reserves the right to eject any guest who does not comply with our terms & conditions or whose behaviour is deemed to be threatening, abusive or otherwise inappropriate. In any instance, if you are asked to leave, any monies paid will not be refunded and the full cost of the booking and any other charges are payable immediately.
CLOSURE: The Hotel reserves the right to close facilities for emergency maintenance or to cancel all reservations at their absolute discretion, in which event they shall refund any deposit paid and thereafter accept no further responsibility.
